The parent company, ACME Manufacturing Company, Inc. has a long history developing metal shapes and sheet. Previously known as The SteelWorks Corporation, the company changed its name to ACME Manufacturing Company in 2006. Originally, ACME exclusively manufactured and distributed metal shapes for do-it-yourselfers in the retail hardware trade. This extensive industry knowledge led to the creation of DécorWorks. ACME has been operated by current ownership since 1992 and has a 25-year history of supplying shapes and sheet to the DIY marketplace.
