Tape Measure
TOOLS NEEDED
Tin Snips or
Miter Saw
Rubber Roller
(Optional)
PREP
- Clean the surface you are covering thoroughly – removing all wax, dust and grease. For best results, use alcohol wipes to clean surfaces.
- Make sure all painted or textured surfaces are lightly sanded and then cleaned for maximum adhesion.
- If caulking exits, remove caulking and clean thoroughly.
- All porous surfaces (for example: wood) should be primed (sanded and/or painted) for maximum adhesion.
- Dry all surfaces thoroughly after cleaning.
CUT
- Measure the surface you are covering with a tape measure.
- Cut the DécorWorks plastic shape to your specifications using tin snips or a miter saw.
PLACE
- Peel off paper backing and align the DécorWorks plastic shape to the area of placement.
- Place the DécorWorks plastic shape and press down on it using either a rubber roller or your hand to ensure long-lasting and even adhesion.
- For DécorWorks shapes that do not have an adhesive backing, DécorWorks recommends using tube adhesive or high-bond, double-sided tape. If you use tube adhesive, make sure it is intended for bonding plastic or PVC plastic. To ensure adhesion, test a certain area first. If you do not want to use adhesive, DécorWorks recommends pre-drilling holes and using decorative nails or screws.
CLEAN & MAINTAIN
- Do not expose DécorWorks plastic shape to constant heat or moisture.
- Clean the DécorWorks plastic shape using a damp sponge or cotton cloth with mild soap and warm water, take caution and do not completely soak the surface.
- Do not use any strong chemical cleaning agents or abrasives.
